My other Christmas gifts I made

My dad's Beatles drawing wasn't the only Christmas gift I made. I also made one for both my sisters and one for my grandma. I also made one for my bf's sister I just haven't had the chance to finish it yet. 

 I painted Stewie from Family Guy for my sister Amy :)

 And a giraffe for my sister Melissa who absolutely loves them. :)

I drew this drawing of a flower with pastels. I sent it to my grandma :).  I drew this from a Pastel drawing book that I got from the library but I don't remember the exact name.

Tomorrow I'm going to Dominican and hopefully when I come back I'll be full of new inspiration :). I will definitely takes loads of photos and will bring my sketch books and crayons to draw when i'm there. :)

Birthday Drawings

This weekend I will continue my Christmas gifts for my family that i'm working on. I'm hoping to be done this weekend or almost done. I'll post pictures when I'm done but since i'm at work right now I wanted to post some Birthday drawings I did for 2 people.

The first one is a mermaid I drew for my little sister Mel for her 18th birthday I asked her what she wanted and this is what she asked for.

The second one was for my old roommate Christine for her birthday in July. I wanted to make her something special and I remembered her telling me she loves butterflies and her favourite flower was lilacs. So I found this picture and drew it for her and framed it. She really loved it.

Introductions and new pastels :)

 Hey! :) I'm Roxanne or just Roxy is fine too. I think it's about time I start my blog now since I've made it about a month and a half ago and just haven't wrote anything as of yet. So basically I made this blog so I can post all the art I do in one place. If I want to show anyone my art I can direct them here. I'll try to update as much as I can with new contents. Yesterday I've received my new pastels I bought for an art class I'm taking. I decided to draw a quick tree and I kinda liked it so here it is.

 It was done in like 2 minutes or so, so I wouldn't be surprised if no one likes it. I can't draw trees anyways, one of the things I need to work on. 

To finish this post I'll add a couple more drawings I did for a friend of mine in Ottawa, Soky, she used to work with me at American Express and she wanted me to draw her little fairy statues so one week when she was on vacation I decided to surprise her and draw them for her, I gave them to her when I moved. 

Music I'm listening to today: Miley Cyrus alot of songs not one in particular well maybe the Hoedown throwdown because it's catchy and theres a dance that goes with it which i've been trying to learn today. 

Things I've been doing today (other than learning the dance) working on some Christmas gifts for my family which i'm hoping to finish on time.
